RACHELLE CUNNINGHAM

Born in the wilds of western Ireland and raised in Norway, Rachelle Cunningham’s childhood was steeped in Celtic mythology and folkloric tales. Her fascination with the mystical harmonized effortlessly with a deep love for French culture, nurtured during her teenage years attending Lycée Français’s, where she immersed herself in the rich history of art and earned top HL Art IB awards. She went on to earn a BFA in Art, Media & Technology from Parsons School, supported by a scholarship.

Drawn to the Baroque and Romantic movements, she celebrates imagination, emotion, and beauty emerging from darkness, weaving stories of the past with contemporary nuance. Through her art, she transforms everyday melancholy into realms of wonder and inspiration. Her art often features ethereal characters, rich costume‑detail, fashion references, and a storytelling dimension—she treats fashion, myth and femininity as part of her creative vocabulary A passionate advocate for women’s health, her work supports endometriosis research and continues to champion this cause something she herself has spent a decade struggling with.

Rachelle has collaborated with fashion and cultural institutions—including Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Palais Galliera, Nick Knight etc— her work has been featured in Vogue, L’Officiel, and Culture etc.
